The force was with screen favourite Warwick Davis when he visited a Rugby coffee shop on Thursday last week.
He was met by scores of adoring fans at Kuni’s Coffee & Comics in High Street after dropping in for a cuppa.
Warwick, a self-confessed ‘geek’, told the Advertiser he was pleased with the amount of people who turned out to meet him - some waiting for nearly three hours to catch a glimpse of the star.
The TV and stage celebrity played Willow Ufgood in Willow, Wicket in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi and Professor Flitwick in the Harry Potter franchise.
Warwick said: “For me, playing the wicked Ewok in my first Star Wars was special for me because I was very fond of the character - and I still am - and it’s given me the career I have.
“Without that part, I wouldn’t be doing what I do now.”
The star was also in An Idiot Abroad 3 and Life’s Too Short and is currently hosting Celebrity Squares on ITV.
“Playing the Ewok involved me putting on a onesie and a head so it didn’t take too long to get ready,” added Warwick.
“The make-up when I played Professor Flitwick in Harry Potter was a different matter. It was a four-hour process to get transformed into character. It was a great film to work on.”
When it comes to his own heroes, Warwick said he has too many to mention them all.
“One of my favourites is Steve Coogan.”
Warwick, who had never visited Rugby before, said he enjoyed his stop at Kuni’s.
“It’s a great place to come and have a coffee and satisfy your inner geek,” he said
