Ways to improve health and well-being
Run by WCAVA, and part funded by NHS Rugby Clinical Commissioning Group, ConnectWELL enables health professionals such as GPs and nurses to refer patients who would benefit from support to discover fun groups and activities in the local community.
ConnectWELL’s team of trained volunteers can help people find something to suit them, and if necessary accompany them to the activity.

Hide AdGemma Smith, ConnectWELL’s administrative co-ordinator, said: “We often signpost people to a variety of advice and information services, carers’ support, community groups, coffee mornings, interesting exercise classes, leisure activities, lunch clubs, self-help groups, specialist interest groups, sporting activities, and lots more.
“Everyone is unique, so it is wonderful when we help somebody find something that is of interest to them, and it also helps them to be happier or healthier.”
Somebody the service has already helped said: “You are two lovely people and have helped me start to believe in myself again. There’s nothing else like this out there.”
