A RUGBY property consultant has proved she’s in a field of her own with her charity work for local projects.
Victoria Morris, who works at Horts estate agents in Regent Street, is raising money for the new Crick Sports Field Project.
She is donating £250 to the cause for every house she sells in Crick or Yelvertoft.
Victoria said: “I wanted to get involved because it’s such a worthwhile and exciting local project.
“It will see the development of football pitches and cricket pitches for use of the community.”
Victoria, who is the property consultant looking after these villages, is no stranger to charity work.
She added: “I have been involved in several fundraising initiatives on behalf of Horts.
“I’ve helped raise money for Myton Hospice and Warwickshire Air Ambulance and thought that this project would be of great benefit to the local community and therefore worthy of our support.”
Crick Sports Field Project is being headed up by Crick Athletic Football Club but the project will be for all the residents of Crick and surrounding villages.
Proposed facilities include a senior pitch, two junior pitches, all-weather pitch, tennis courts, cricket ground and a sports hall/pavilion.
The cost of phase one is £180,000 and the total project will cost £1.4m.
Grant money is being applied for but funds are needed from corporate sponsorship and local fundraising activities.
Victoria added: “When it’s up and running it will be such a brilliant facility for everyone.
“They need all the help they can get so I’m more than happy to do my bit.”
She added: “It’s all about putting something back into the local community and helping each other.”
