Families looking for the ultimate fun day trip during whit week should pay a visit to the National Sea Life Centre in Birmingham.

As well as Penguin Ice Adventure, the attraction is also home to over 2,000 sea creatures from all over the world, including Molokai, the giant green sea turtle, who was actually found in a lady’s handbag at Heathrow Airport and whose favourite pastimes include snoozing on the 360 degree ocean tunnel and snacking on sprouts. The underwater attraction has recently welcomed a group of Gentoo penguins, which have migrated all the way from Calgary in Canada. What’s more, the attraction also boasts a shiver of different shark species and visitors can discover black tip reef sharks and nurse sharks as well as an incredible school of rays including the bowmouth guitarfish, a rare species that can grow up to a whopping nine foot in length.
Kids TV arts and craft sensation Mister Maker* will be at the attraction to help thousands of youngsters create their own sea creatures.
The popular CBeebies presenter has put together a series of exclusive instruction videos to help children make marine animals ranging from a paper-plate stingray to a foil and tissue paper shark.
The six videos, filmed exclusively for visitors to Sea Life, will be featured until June 12.
