Generous staff at a top hotel have donated a night for two with dinner to a fundraising raffle to help a Rugby mum walk again.
The sales team at Brownsover Hall were happy to provide a stay in an executive room as a prize to be won at a disco on September 30.
Business development manager Cassandra Cook and sales and marketing co-ordinator Malin Steinsrud, said they hoped the event would raise a lot of money for Jane Gould, who is unable to walk due to MS. Money raised will fund new stem cell treatment to hopefully get Jane, 41, who now lives in America, back on her feet again and doing the things she loves.
Organiser Lucie Green met with Jane’s mother, the Rev Pam Gould, who lives in Church Lawford.
The vicar gave prizes for the night to help with the fundraising.
Lucie said: “She said Jane is in good spirits considering her situation which is good to hear.
“I’d like to say a massive thank you to the lovely team at Brownsover Hall for such a generous prize and also like to give a special mention to the very talented DJ Tony Torrance, who will be playing our favourite tunes on the night.”
She paid tribute to Jayne Allen, who has been working hard behind the scenes and also thanks to Weddington Social Club.
Lucie, who used to work with Jane Gould on the Rugby Advertiser, added: “I hope it’s going to be a really good night - whatever your age!”
Raffle tickets will be sold at the disco at Weddington Social Club, Nuneaton, from 6pm to 10pm, in conjunction with the much-respected atmosphereroadshow.co.uk, 07824 638327
It costs £2 for adults and £1 for children. Everyone welcome. For more information or to get involved, email firstname.lastname@example.org
