Witness appeal after boy hit by car outside Rugby shop

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 10-year-old boy was injured in a hit-and-run incident outside a Rugby supermarket.

The boy was outside the Co-operative on Lawford Road at 8.20am on Tuesday, March 15 when he is thought to have been hit by a car.

The vehicle, which is described only as being either silver or white in colour, did not stop at the scene.

Warwickshire Police officers said the boy sustained bruising and minor injuries, but did not require medical treatment.

Witnesses, or anyone who can help provide the police with more information, are urged to come forward to help track down the vehicle or anyone who was involved in the incident.

A police spokesperson said: “Officers in Rugby continue to investigate the circumstances of the collision and are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident.

“Or to the driver of the vehicle involved.”
