Woman arrested after police raid house in Rugby and discover cannabis factory

Warwickshire Police CID officers seized a quantity of cannabis plants and associated hydroponics equipment during a drugs raid at a house in Rugby.

The plans and equipment were found after executing a drugs warrant in Alfred Street at 9.45am yesterday (Thursday).

A spokesman for Warwickshire Police said: “Officers searched the property and found a number of plants which were seized and taken away for forensic analysis.”

Officers also arrested a 49 year old female from Rugby on suspicion of production and possession of a controlled drug – believed to be cannabis.

Following questioning, she has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
