Woman cut free from vehicle after three-car collision on Daventry Road

Warwickshire firefighters cut a woman free from a vehicle after a road traffic collision on the Daventry Road at Willoughby last night (Wednesday).

Two crews from Rugby attended the scene of the incident, which had taken place at around 7.45pm.

Upon arrival, firefighters found a collision between three private vehicles, two of which were off the roadway and one was still on the road, and one woman was trapped.

They used hydraulic cutting equipment and small gear to release the casualty.

Police officers and ambulance service staff were also in attendance.

Fire crews were detained for approximately one-and-a-half hours and the casualty was left in the care of the West Midlands Ambulance Service.
