Woman robbed as she walked home in Rugby

A 62-year-old woman was robbed as she walked home in Rugby last week.

A man approached the woman and asked for the time as she was walking along Dryden Place at approximately 6.35pm on Thursday August 1.

He then snatched her purse, pushing her over in the process before running of towards Newland Street, Rugby.

The woman received minor injuries to her arms and body but did not require hospital treatment.

She described her attacker as a white male, aged around 21, of skinny build and about 5ft 5” tall, with short cropped feathered blond hair.

He was wearing black jeans and a black and white chequered shirt.
