They had to prepare a three course dinner and dress a table for two as part of this year’s Rotary District 1060 Young Chef Competition.

Judge Roger Givens, who works at the college said: “The standard attained by these young chefs just keeps increasing year on year, making it more difficult to pick out a winner.”

District final winner was named as Abigail Egglestone, sponsored by Southam 2000 Rotary Club, with runner up going to Imogen Hunter sponsored by Stourbridge Rotary Club. Both progress to the regional final, also to be held in Rugby.

The winners were presented with their prizes by the president of the Rotary Club of Rugby Saturday Breakfast, Ken Ure, who said: “The competition is one of many run by Rotary to encourage young people to develop their skills.”
