Festival chairman Clive Rickman said: ‘We have made a point of encouraging young, local musicians from the outset and will be allocating a place on both the main and acoustic stages to the best acts with the runners up getting the chance to play at the eve of festival party on Friday June 19.’

Any young performers, soloists, duos, bands, etc, who would like to take part should contact Clive at [email protected] with their details.

As well as the two festival stages, there will also be an acoustic lounge operating on an ‘open mike’ basis during the day.

‘We have made a big effort to get young people involved and don’t charge those under 18 for admission. Last year, many hundreds attended and they gave us very positive feedback.
