A young travel writer from Hillmorton will set sail on a new adventure when he starts filming for a TV cruise channel.

Fourteen-year-old Lewis Nunn first caught the travelling bug when he went on a cruise ship holiday two years ago.

It inspired the Ashlawn School pupil to set up his own travel blog and YouTube channel back here in the UK, which he said has quickly risen in popularity.

He also contacted people in the cruise industry and was invited by Norwegian Cruise Line to take part in the launch of its new ship back in 2015.

And Lewis found himself thrown into the spotlight of a TV recording studio where he discussed his passion with travel journalist Julie Peasgood.

He is now set to step in front of the camera once again to film as a presenter for a new TV series, titled the Cruise Handbook.

Lewis says he wants to use the show as a platform to put an end to the perception that cruises are for older generations and encourage more teens to give them a try.

He said: “Like a lot of people my age I thought cruise ships were boring with old people sitting around eating cake. But once I got on board I loved it.

“More people started following me on social media and subscribing to my YouTube channel and it is growing every day.

“I want young people to know that cruise holidays are not just for old fogies – they are great fun for us teens too.”
