Brace from Beeke sends Warwick into last eight

Warwick School Under-15s moved into the quarter-finals of the Daily Mail Cup with a comprehensive 33-0 victory over Norfolk side Wymondham College

The visitors started positively and showed aggressive intent in the contact area from the outset.

The heavy pitch made running and handling difficult for both sides and a fifth-minute error by the Wymondham fly-half allowed Joe Blake to cross for an unconverted try.

Possession was shared during the remainder of the half, but Warwick were by far the more clinical of the two sides, with tries from Oliver Beeke and winger Bryn Grantham giving them a 15-0 half-time advantage.

After the break, Warwick came out of the blocks the fastest and Tom Howard kicked a penalty in front of the posts to extend the lead.

Good kicking from Henry Stride and Jim Bliss allowed the visitors to keep Wymondham penned back and the final 20 minutes saw Warwick start to break the line more frequently.

Beeke doubled his tally and there were further scores from Joel Othen-Lawson and Devon Berrington as Warwick rounded off the group stages in style.
