She was in winning form on both days coming first in C1 and second in the K1 Classes in the first heat Qualifying comfortably for the semi-finals. In the semi-finals Kimberley dropped to 2nd place in C1 and 4th place in K1 progressing through to the Sundays final.

In the C1 final Kimberley put on a stunning performance beating the next placed paddler by 13 seconds. Malory Franklin, Kimberley’s GB Team mate and training partner, was the next and last boat down the course.

Although pulling out all the stops she was unable to match Kimberley’s time finishing nearly three seconds behind in second place. Kimberley and Malory were back in the K1 less than 20 minutes later with Kimberley producing her fastest time of the day coming in second place behind Lizzie Neave, fellow GB team member, with a margin of over nearly two seconds on third place Malory Franklin.
