Corks are popping again for King
Jordan King is confident he has turned a corner in a frustrating 2014 FIA Formula 3 European Championship campaign after scything his way through the spray to a brilliant podium double at a rain-drenched Norisring.
Following a sixth-placed finish on the Saturday evening, King went on to claim a second and third the following day to put himself firmly back in the title shake-up.
“In fairness, our raw speed has been there all along,” said King. “We’ve just had difficulty in fully exploiting it, but this is clearly a step forward and I was thrilled to be on the podium again after something of a dry spell.
“It had certainly been a long time coming.”
