Hide AdBarby found themselves on 79-4 after 20 overs and looking for a partnership from the Gleghorn brothers to gain the upper hand they added 46 before Tom Gleghorn after reaching his half century holed out to a fine catch at long on for 54. This brought the experience of Rob Field to the crease to partner Joel Gleghorn and they added 59 for the sixth wicket, before Joel fell for a well-made innings of 41 with the score on 184. Field then dominated a partnership of 38 with Dan Dury before he was bowled for 51 as Barby reached 236-8 after 50 overs.
Four Oaks started their reply in a sedate manner and were 34-2 after 13 overs. This brought Tom Wright to the wicket, who made 59 from 58 balls to bring Four Oaks back into contention for the win. He was out with the score at 115 after 30 overs. With opener Gregg Henderson making 66 a Four Oaks win seemed possible, only for Will Sinclair to be brought back into the bowling attack and take 3-31 to leave Four Oaks batting for the draw, which they achieved, finishing on 164-8 after 50 overs.
