Tickets on sale for one-day game in August
Tickets to see Warwickshire County Cricket Club’s Royal London One-Day Cup match against Kent at Rugby School on Sunday, August 10 are now on general sale following a priority booking period for the club’s members.
The Bears played their inaugural first team match at Rugby School last summer and, after a capacity crowd enjoyed a sun-soaked T20 fixture, the Club is returning to the famous ground for a 50-overs per side match, with tickets priced at £15 in advance for Adults and £5 for Under 16s.
Gareth Roberts, Commercial Director at Warwickshire CCC, said: “Last year was the first time that a home fixture had been played away from Edgbaston for seven years, and we were thrilled with the reaction from local supporters with all tickets selling out more than a week in advance.
“We believe that a full-day, Royal London One-Day Cup match will prove an even bigger attraction than the shorter T20 format, and we’re making it even easier for local residents to buy tickets this year, by again selling from Hope Clothing in Sheep Street as well as Rugby’s tourist information centre. ”
Patrick Derham, Headmaster of Rugby School, said: “Last year’s successful T20 match proved Rugby School as an excellent host of first team county cricket and we’re proud to be an official venue of Warwickshire CCC.
“The extended hours of play for the Royal London One-Day Cup match provide an attractive day out for supporters of all ages and we’re sure that the many local cricket fans in this part of the county will be keen to see the Bears in action.”
