Club joins national programme for five to eight year olds
With the new cricket season now only just a few weeks away, Willoughby Cricket Club have set their sights high on a successful 2017 campaign after being chosen as an All Stars Cricket Centre.
Last year saw a record number of juniors play cricket at the club, which continues to pride itself on offering boys and girls aged 5-16 years with competitive and recreational sports opportunities in a safe and fun environment.
And the club’s already strong junior and youth ranks are set to grow further by combining their well-established cricket opportunities with these new All Star programmes for budding new cricketers to play and enjoy cricket.
Launched on Monday (March 20), All Stars Cricket is a nationwide programme designed to inspire five to eight-year-olds to take up cricket and provide a great first experience of the game for budding young cricketers and their parents.
Willoughby CC will appear on the national programme finder where interested parents can sign up their children up to the All Stars Cricket sessions, which will start in mid-May and run through to early July.
