Disability Bowls England showcase the inclusivity of the sport at Victoria Park

Leamington’s Victoria Park was chosen as the venue for the relaunch of Disability Bowls England with a Warwickshire County Presidents’ team providing the opposition.

The match was followed by a social bowling session and an open forum.

Disability Bowls England brings together Visually Impaired Bowls England, English Amputees and les Autres Bowling Association, British Wheelchair Bowls Association and Cerebral Palsy.

Following on from the success at last year’s Commonwealth Games of the Para triple of Bob Love, Dave Fisher and Paul Brown and the subsequent increase in interest it was decided Disability Bowls England needed to be more formally constituted.

It is now completing the charity registration process with aim to be the governing and co-coordinating body of bowls for players of all ages and abilities with a physical, sensory or learning disability.
