Braunston beat Bar 8 for the Division Two title

Community Relations first team sealed their fate of relegation from Division One, in the Rugby & District Sunday League.

Despite a goal for Dan Nelson, CRC lost 3-1 to The George Daventry, whose scorers were James Weale, Joshua Hutchinson and Karol Waligorski.

In Division Two, Braunston were crowned champions as they battled hard to win 1-0 over Bar 8 FC. A first-half Nick Hammond goal was the only thing that separated the evenly matched sides, with Bar 8’s Richard Fletcher getting the fastest booking and injury of the season after just ten seconds in an end to end game.

Both teams are now promoted and will be looking forward to their first season in the top flight

In the Division One Cup Hillmorton and Webb Ellis drew 2-2, Jay Lawes and Shane Osborne goals cancelling out a Charlie Whiteside double.

The Division Two Cup saw Jolly Abbott come from two goals down at half time to snatch a 3-2 victory over Crick Athletic, through Ben Conopo and a brace Brad Osborne-Wells.

Stag and Pheasant were left to rue two missed penalties out of three awarded as they drew 3-3 against Caldecott Arms. Jonathan Charlesworth, Liam Waleczek and a converted penalty from Jaiden Cole were on target for Stag and Pheasant. Caldecott Arms scorers were Adam Timms, James Osborne and Tom Winterbottom.
