Hide AdLye, in contrast, found chances at a premium, with defenders Larri Windsor and Kat Ellis and keeper Liv O’Connor forming a solid barrier.
The opportunities continued to flow for Town after the break, however, with Alex Shilton the beneficiary of the excellent workrate of Abi Foster and Lucy Stevenson.
Shilton went on to match Dougherty’s treble, with Becky Jones capping a memorable afternoon with the visitors’ seventh.
Kenilworth will entertain Welsh side Total Network Solutions in the second qualifying round on Sunday October 14 (2pm).
