Bourton and Frankton Football Club will be keeping the tradition of their annual Boxing Day football fixture running this year with the event’s renewal on Thursday (December 26).

Chairman Malcolm Smith extends an invitation to players young and old to come along and get involved with the game, which has been played at the club for over 60 years.

Meeting at B & F’s ground on Main Street, Bourton-on-Dunsmore at 10am, for 10.30am kick-off, there will be team kit and showers/changing available in the Pavilion and suitable refreshments for those who need it!

Post-match hospitality will be at Birdingbury Club from 12.30pm onwards.

The Boxing Day game is poignant this year as for many previous events active participants were Richard Webb and Harry Smith who will be remembered at the event. They were both active players for the club at football and cricket and left us too soon in the last year.

B & F will take opportunity to also raise awareness of the issue of prevention of young suicide and contribute some funds to Papyrus (www. papyrus-uk.org)
