A W Engraving Coventry Alliance League

Premier Division

Brinklow 0 Hawkesmill Sports 4: An injury to Dave Sinclair in the pre-match warm up and conceding two early goals left Brinklow with a mountain to climb. Hawkesmill opened the scoring after 7 minutes after cleverly dispossessing Dan Mallinson.

Six minutes later a ball over the top of the home defence was latched onto and coolly finished. Despite the early set back Brinklow managed to rally and for the almost all of the remainder of the first half looked the better side.

However, shortly before half – time Brinklow fell victim to another ball over the top of the defence which was neatly finished. A more defensive formation adopted by Brinklow in the second half proved to be largely effective but a Hawkesmill goal from a late breakaway move consigned the home side to their heaviest league defeat of the season.

Division 2

Brinklow Reserves 1 Crick 3: Dan Hood scored Brinklow’s only goal as they went down in a relegation dog- fight with Crick.

Mid–Warwickshire League

U8s: Saturday saw Brinklow entertain Athletic Utd - the pace of the game was electric early on and after some neat passing Logan Cooper broke the deadlock - Athletic drew level before the boys found top gear - Toby Edwards put Brinlow back in front and Aaryan Dassaur put the game out of reach with a superb hat-trick.

Brinklow continued to press in the second half and Logan added the final touch to another fluent move.

Noah Ward twisted and turned out wide and his fantastic cross was turned into his own net by a defender.

Man of the match was shared between Toby for his energetic display and Aaryan for his deadly finishing.

There was time for a 10 minute 7 v 7 friendly with goals for Aaryan and Riley Bloxham and a late contender for goal of the season from Jacob Smith - fantastic to watch boys - well done.

U9s: Brinklow entertained Leamington Brakes Colts at Wolston. The home team put on an impressive performance which reflected the hard work put in on the training ground this season.

Striker Charlie Cook was in deadly form hitting four goals. Josh Tilley and Adam Monk both scored a goal each. Adam Monk put in a fine individual performance to win man of the match.
