Two games at Rugby Town on Sunday, April 14

Rugby Town FC's Butlin Road ground has been chosen to host two upcoming FA Women's National League Cup Finals.

The FA WNL Reserve Cup Final between Charlton Athletic and Blackburn Rovers will be followed by the FA WNL Plate Final which pits Liverpool Feds against West Bromwich Albion in a bumper offering on Sunday (14th April).

With women's football enjoying increasing levels of exposure and investment in the last few years, the event should prove to be an exciting affair and it provides an opportunity for spectators to witness at first hand the vast improvements that have been made in the sport in recent times.

FA Women’s National League Chairman Carol West explained: “We’re delighted to be heading to Rugby Town FC for this exciting double header.

"The Reserve Cup Final is a great chance for developing players to take centre stage, and the Plate Final sees two closely matched teams meet in what should be a great game.”

Valley Director Neil Melvin added: “We were very pleased to be asked to host these two FA Women’s National League finals at Butlin Road and everyone at the club is really looking forward to the day.

“I am sure that our own supporters - as well as the wider community in Rugby - will be keen to support the event and hopefully it will be a day to remember for everybody.”

The ground opens at 10.00 with the Reserve Cup Final at 11.00 and the Plate Final at 15.00.

Tickets are priced at £5 adults (which includes a match programme), £2.50 for concessions and £1 for children (under-3s are free).
