U13s: MJPL Rugby Town 1 Red Star 0: Rugby Town Midland Junior Premier League U13s made the cup final with seconds to spare.

Semi-final opponents Red Star visited Kilsby Lane for the much anticipated semi-final, with Town looking for revenge following an earlier league defeat. The game was a close affair played on a very windy morning disrupting both teams’ play. Rugby fought hard against the wind in the first half, creating the better chances, with Nathan Bwalya going close.

In the second half, with the wind advantage, chances came and went, Nathan Bawyla, Jordan Bates and Sam Coulter hitting the bar and having one cleared of the line. Red Star had a couple of decent chances too and it could have gone either way at this point. With 20 seconds to go, Ben Mills curled one direct from a corner into the top corner of the net, literally the last kick of the game for a place in the final on Saturday (May 2) at Brackley Town.
