FOOTBALL: First Sunday League point of the season for Caldecott Arms

In Division One of the Rugby & District Sunday League, Caldecott Arms got their first point of the season as they drew 3-3 with Webb Ellis Eagles, with goals from Mohamed Abdelshafy, Oliver Hartnack and Luke Carey.
In Division Two, Bar 8 FC fell to a 3-0 defeat to Rugby Celts. Celts scorers were Michael Hall, Peter Jackson and Warwick Donnelly.

Hide AdCRC Res are a win closer to the title after beating Daventry Town Jaguars 4-0 with goals by Adam Neale, Kyle Gerrard and a Lewis Halcrow 2.
The George Daventry recorded the biggest win of the day, 11-3 over Stag and Pheasant Newton.
George’s goals came from Ryan York 4, Daniel Bullen with a hat-trick, Benjamin Drinkwater 2, Aaron Carter and Karol Waligorski.
In Division Three, Hillmorton Old Boys beat GE Victoria 5-1, with goals from Gareth Owen, Jermaine Lawes, Ian McGregor and Luke Pritchard 2.
Andrew Page-Winn scored the Vic’s consolation.

Hide AdRugby Borough Vets won by the same score line over Paddox, whose scorer was Rob Crinigan.
In the Open Cup, Braunston lost 3-2 to Hillmorton. Braunston scorers were Lewis Isom and Lloyd Monger.
