Brinklow 1 Stockton 3:

Brinklow paid the penalty for committing defensive errors against premiership new boys Stockton.

The visitors went ahead after nine minutes when Brinklow ‘keeper Dan Mallinson was perhaps harshly adjudged to have foiled an attack by bundling over a Stockton forward, leaving Henry Leaver to score with the spot kick.

Six minutes later Brinklow levelled the score after good approach play involving Ben Morley and Jordan Haywood set up Blake Kassar to fire home from close range.

Stockton regained the lead on the half hour when Ross Briscoe climbed above the home defence to meet a corner kick and head home at the far post.

The second half saw Stockton in the ascendancy and they deservedly increased their lead after 57 minutes following another penalty award from which Henry Leaver netted.

The result leaves Brinklow searching for their first league victory after three games.
