Three games in the Rugby & District Sunday Football League survived the rain this week.

Royal Oak United climbed to the top of Division 1 with the biggest win of the season over Caldecott Arms, 20-3. James Ward scord five, while Lewis Hearne, Matty Evans and Matty Shipman all hit a hat-trick.

Ross Irvine and Michael Glover got a brace apiece and Jack Downes and Matty Lewis also scored. Caldecott scorers were Jacob McCormack, Jack Jaques and Lawrence Storer.

In the Open cup, CRC 1st beat United Prince of Wales 8-1, with goals for Aaron Dawes 3, Dale Linton 2, Dan Nelson, Liam Newby and Mark Taylor.

Webb Ellis Lions won 5-1 over GE Victoria Vets, with two goals each for Darius Smith and Luke Townsend and one for Ben Townsend. Rowland Wiseman scoring for the veteran team.

There were mixed emotions in county cups as The George Daventry lost in the Northamptonshire Cup and Rugby Celts beat Iron Horse FC 2-1 in the Birmingham FA County Vase 2nd round.
