Results from the last couple of weeks too


There were only two first division games on a wet Sunday morning but they weren’t short of goals. Griffin Rokeby put in a mega performance against Clifton Bulls beating them 11-0. Patrick Walle, Kane Maunder and Jack Curtis hit a hat-trick apiece along with singles from Pete Murray and Matty Lea.

The League Champions, Lawford, put seven past Athletico Belbao who could only reply with a single from Craig Burrin. The Lawford scorers were Dildale Linton 3, Halim Halim 2, Jim Farrow and Jake Chater.

In Division 2 two goals apiece for Callum Howling and Kelvin Pugh helped CRC Reserves overcome the challenge from the Avon Mill, who lost the game 4-3. Joe Pruden scored in the first half for the Mill before substitute Danny Butler came on and fired in a brace to make it a tense finish. In a local derby Drayton Grange comfortably beat Braunston 5-1. Martin Fincham scored the Braunston goal.

Quigley’s scraped a 3-2 victory against the Caldecott Arms. Adam Treacy, Mike Reynolds and Dave Hoppitt scored for Quigley’s.

A first-half goal from Jack Cannell was the deciding factor as Rugby FC beat Royal Oak Res.

The Webb Ellis and the Holly Bush drew 3-3. Jamie Fox 2 and George Hole scored for the Webb.

Next week sees the start of this season’s group cup stages. The draw is: Lawford v Quigley’s, Royal Oak v Drayton Grange, Griffin v Webb Ellis, Athletico Belbao v Rugby FC, Avon Mill v Braunston, Barley Mow v Caldecott, Avon Mill v Braunston, CRC v Holly Bush, Royal Oak Reserves v Clifton Bulls.
