New Sponsors for Rugby Town Girls U14s

Sisters Ranjit and Gurjit Samra, owners of Kingsway Premier store, have been serving their local community in their store for a number of years. Over this time they noticed an increasing amount of girls visiting their store talking about playing football for Rugby Town Girls Football Club. Having wanted to give something back to their community, particularly young people, they had been thinking about finding a youth football team to help out. When they heard the girls’ club were moving their training ground to just over the road from their store at Harris School, they saw this as the ideal club to choose.

One player in particular had caught their eye as a regular visitor to their store, purchasing her drinks for training and matches. After chatting with her, they offered to sponsor her team. Their sponsorship has helped to purchase match day and training shirts, so the girls look smart on match and training days and helping to keep costs low for the club, which in turn helps to keep costs of club membership down for the players – keeping girls football more accessible to all.

The girls and the club are grateful for this support. Ranjit and Gurprit will continue to receive updates on the team’s progress from the players themselves as they visit their store for their well-deserved snacks and treats after training and matches!

Any local companies interested in helping to support their local girls football club are welcome to get in touch via or visit their website Also, any new players are more than welcome to join in – with two weeks free training to all new players, it’s a great way to try the sport, with no obligation!
