Rugby Town Junior Football Club

Futures Programme

Rugby Town’ Football Futures programme is an FA national initiative to involve young people in the running and developing of the game.

And to find out more, anyone interested is invited to a presentation at Kilsby Lane on Wednesday, February 24 at 7pm.

Michael Thurlow, who heads up the Birmingham County Football Futures programme, will be there along with two members of the Birmingham County FA Youth Council.

It’s open to 14-25s who are volunteering within football, at a school, college or university, or attached to a charter standard club or league.

Leaders can choose from a range of activities, from assisting with coaching or running a team to acting as the press officer for a junior league or refereeing.

Those taking part will gain valuable experience and develop skills that can be applied to all aspects of life.

Young Leaders within the programme will be offered support to gain football related qualifications and skills.

Interested? email with your name, date of birth and team. If you can’t attend the evening but would still like to get involved please also get in touch.
