Brakes head to Damson Park for the FA Cup clash on the back of a disappointing start to the Conference North campaign.

Saturday’s defeat at home to Gainsborough saw them slip into the bottom three for the first time and with injuries mounting and Elliot Sandy returning to Brackley, Holleran said he is desperate for reinforcements.

“We’re in need of an injection - we need a bit more,” said Holleran. “But it has to be the right kind of player.

“We’re hopeful of bringing a couple of bodies in for the weekend but it’s taking a little bit longer than we would have liked.”

Sandy’s decision to head back to St James Park follows six starts for Brakes, which yielded just two points.

“The fact that he hasn’t hit the heights that he and we would have liked made it an easy option for him,” added Holleran.
