INDOOR FOOTBALL: Five-a-side league

Summer football starts at Lawrence Sheriff School sports hall this week with a new five-aside league.

The community league is scheduled to kick off on Sunday’s between 6pm – 8pm, and will run with one division of eight teams.

Every team will get FREE entry into the league, FREE KITS FOR JOINING, FREE FIRST MATCH,

Teams will play an intense 40 minute match each week with a qualified referee. The league will cost just £4 per player and teams entering will have the chance to win a huge array of awards including; trophies for winners and runners-up, player of the season, and a fair play award. Teams will also have the opportunity of playing against other teams from leagues across England in the Soccersixes national cup.

All matches are officiated by qualified referees while sixes staff will attend the league each week to ensure the smooth running of fixtures and to deal with any queries or problems. All equipment will be provided. Anyone over the age of 16 can enter and you do not need to be an organised or established team, you may simply be a group of friends, work colleagues or mates from the pub. The league will be fully affiliated to the FA.
