Knight sets sights on mid-table
Dean Curtis failed to apply the finishing touch to a Nick Ford cross when presented with an opening goal in the first 25 seconds and Racing Club were made to pay when Brocton took the lead in the 36th minute through a Gary Fife header.
However, after switching to three up front, Racers dominated the second half, creating a series of chances which on another day would have seen them to a comfortable victory.

But, after a disapointing showing against Southam the previous Monday, Knight was glad to see his side returning to somewhere near their best.
“We made changes to the formation and player positions and it gave the players a kick up the backside,” said Knight, who is hoping to add Rugby Town centre-back Chris Charles to his squad for tomorrow’s trip to Coventry Copsewood. “The response was fantastic and the result was the only disappointing thing.
“We created chance after chance in the second half and were by far the better team.
