Town suffered the agony of a 95th-minute goal in their 3-2 defeat by Shaw Lane Aquaforce on Saturday.

It brings to an end Town’s five-month unbeaten league away match run, which stretches back to October.

The home side had gone ahead in the 13th minute of this NPL South Division game, but Kevin Thornton levelled just three minutes later.

David Kolodynski put Rugby ahead in the 65th minute, but it wasn’t enough as scores were level again within ten minutes.

It looked as if the points would be shared, but the hosts scored in the 95th minute to snatch the win.

Despite the result, Town are still eighth in the table, just six points away from a play-off spot.

Valley have a busy Easter weekend in prospect, with a trip to Romulus on Good Friday and will then host local rivals Daventry on Monday.
