Town beat Leighton Town 4-0

Rugby Town are now stretching ahead at the top of Calor League Central Division. Their 4-0 win at Butlin Road on Saturday against Leighton Town, saw a slow start but a strong second half. Seb Lake-Gaskin broke the deadlock with a 40th minute penalty and added his second in the 63rd minute. In between Lewis McBride (50th) and David Kolodynski (61st) ensured a comfortable win for the home side.

Nearest rivals Dunstable Town lost 4-0 at Slough Town and now have 61 points to Rugby’s 66, both having played 29 games.Slough are third on 55.

Rugby Town play Aylesbury United at Butlin Road tomorrow evening (Tuesday 25th).
