Valley let game slip at Sheffield
Rugby Town were 2-0 up after half an hour at Sheffield on Saturday, thanks to a 24th minute strike by Man of the Match David Kolodynski and an own goal deflecting in Luke Smithson’s shot five minutes later.
But the home side pulled one back just before half time and levelled ten minutes into the second half. Sheffield went ahead late on and added another as Valley pushed for the equaliser.
It leaves Rugby in 19th place in the NPL Division One South, on just one win and a draw from five games, with Sheffield two places below them.
This Saturday Rugby Town travel to Brackley Town for the second qualifying round of the FA Cup.
