Rugby Town’s nine-game unbeaten run was brought to an end on Saturday by leaders Stafford Rangers.

In a physical encounter at Butlin Road, the visitors scored the only goal early in the second half to extend their lead at the top of the table to 16 points.

Valley are now 11th in NPL Division One South and face second-placed side Coalville Town at Butlin Road tomorrow night (Tuesday), kicking off at 7.45pm.
