RUGBY TOWN: New striker joins Butlin Road

Signing reunited with old boss

Striker Tom Liversedge is the latest player to agree to head to Butlin Road to be part of Rugby Town’s new boss Gary Mills’ 2015/16 squad.

Liversedge follows his team mate from last season Rob Parker in making the move from Bedford to the Valley, after a successful single season at the Eagles which saw him find the net 18 times.

He will also be reunited with his old boss Craig Adams, who is now Mills’ assistant at Town, as the club prepares for a first ever campaign in the Northern Premier League – South Division. The 25-year-old forward had also previously featured for Gresley, Sutton Coldfield, Cogenhoe, Stamford, Woodford and Bedworth.

The funeral of Rugby Town supporter Gary Parry - who sadly passed away recently - will take place at Rainsbrook Crematorium, off Ashlawn Road at 3pm on Wednesday, June 24, and after the service at the club’s VS Bar.

His family have stated that they would appreciate anyone attending to wear a flash of red, as he was also an ardent Liverpool supporter. Family flowers only, but donations to the Macmillan Cancer Support charity would be appreciated.
