Studley duo boost Knight’s options

Leon Blake and Lei Brown have made the move from Studley, with Blake coming in as Knight’s assistant, while a seven-day approach has also been put in for Alvechurch right-back Martell McGreevy.

The former Studley duo are both expected to slot straight into midfield, with Knight admitting he is “buzzing” at the prospect of seeing how his new charges shape up.

“I’m looking forward to the weekend - I’m buzzing,” said Knight. “Leon has got massive respect all through the game and is someone I played with at Evesham.

“Brown can play centre midfield or up front and is a really good player.

“They are two players I pencilled in for next season, but luckily I’ve got them ten games early.

“Coming from a league above they’ll make a massive difference.”

Racing Club are now seven points adrift at the bottom following Alveston’s win last weekend.

However, Knight says he is not interested in other club’s results.

“We can only concentrate on what we have to do,” he said. “There are still 30 points to play for.”
