Harrison gets Great Britain call for World 100k Champs
Leamington C&AC veteran Sue Harrison has been selected to represent Great Britain & Northern Ireland at the IAU World 100k Championships in the Netherlands on September 12.
Harrison, a bronze medallist at the IAU European 100km Championships in 2013, suffered an injury ravaged 2014 but confirmed her return to fitness with a sub-3hr run at the Rotary Shakespeare Marathon in April.
“She took the Facebook to express her delight, saying: “Proud and honoured to be representing my country again and to be part of such a great team. Three months of hard work ahead now.”
Harrison will be joined in the women’s team by last year’s world 100k bronze medallist Jo Zakrzewski and Holly Rush.
