Two boxers from the Bakehouse Boxing & Martial arts gym in Bakehouse Lane landed knock-out punches in their fights at the weekend.
In a semi-professional event at the Ricoh Arena, Marcus Pinnock, boxing at cruiser weight and Adrian Konrads at welterweight both fought against two hometown Coventry favourites and both won by knock out in the second round.
This was Adrian’s first ever bout, which saw him beating James Quinn from Willenhall and Marcus has been out of boxing for almost 10 years, but made a successful return against Ricky Cottle.
Trainers Lee Evans and Faz Nawaz are very proud of the lads as they listened to instructions and both bouts went exactly how they had planned them.
They gym has now been running for just over one year and they have been succesful both with their adults and children who have competed from the gym.
The club offers boxing classes for adults, children and ladies only, as well as light contact kickboxing classes for children and adults and MMA classes, which is a blend of striking, wrestling and submissions.
They also offer private tuition for both children and adults.
