Rugby Bridge Club goes from strength to strength with new members joining and despite the weather more people at each session.
Friday afternoon at Clifton has become very popular with a record eight tables in play last week.
On Tuesday at Sacred Heart Sue Osborne and Wendy Pattinson took first place for the fourth week running with 65% followed by Ken Miles and Ann Burrage, Clare Dixon and Phil Shorey came third.
On Wednesday Keith Lodge and Brian Richardson lead the field with 62%, Clive Toll and Chris Malthouse were second, Janet Chappell with Peng Ward were third. Thursday saw Debbie Welch and John Drake winning with 62%, with Ann Burrage and Patti Jarvis a close second and Pat and Sid Downton third. New names appeared on the winners’ list on Friday. Anne Carrington and David Hicks, 57%, Lo Tolbutt with Graham Lightfoot second and Judith Kleiner and Terry Bradbury third. In the Rugby and District Bridge League Rugby Discards and Dunchurch Diamond RBC clash in the semi-final of the Open Cup. The winners will play Daventry Dragons in the final.
