Best ten year olds competing for national titles

Bretford Bulldogs will be hosting the British Under 10s Championship on Saturday (August 24).

This only comes to the Midland region every four years so the Bretford club are honoured to have been picked to host the Girls and Boys National Under 10s Championship.

Young cycle speedway enthusiasts will come from around the country to try and take the titles.

Bretford will start the Pre-qualifier at 1pm on the day with the Girls’ Championship starting at 2.30pm and the Boys’ Championship at 3.30pm.

The Mayor and Mayoress will be attending and will be giving out the medals and trophies to the winners.

If you have never seen this sport before come down and see what it is all about.

The event is being held in Bretford Village, the Playing Fields in Brandon Road.

There will be a bounce castle and other attractions for people to enjoy.

The host club Bretford have three competitors who will be riding in the boys’ championship.

They are Scott Price, Charlie Bracken and Owen Ford and the club are sure they will all be close to the rostrum after the final races.
