Cyclists are reminded that this is the last weekend to prepare for the forthcoming Phil Cooke Challenge Ride next Sunday, starting between 9.30 and 10am from either Dunchurch Village Hall or Jacks Hill Café north of Towcester on the A5.
Full details are on the website www.challengintimes.org.uk .
To date the organisers have over 320 riders registered to ride from all over the country, eager to raise funds for the Marie Curie Cancer Care charity, however with a cut off number of 500 there are still places on the ride.
The distances are a challenging 100km (63 miles) or a shorter version of 60km (40 miles).
The course will be well marked out and all registered riders will have a route sheet prior to the start, a photographer will be around the course to take your photograph as a memento of the event and all finishers will receive a Certificate of Achievement.
The event entry fee is £12 and refreshments will be on sale.
As car parking is limited the organiser would appreciate it if local riders could ride to the start to free up as much parking space for those travelling from afar.
Should anyone have any questions about the event then please ring the organiser on 07831 499697.
