Rugby Superleague darts team travelled to Sutton Coldfield for the latest game which saw them remain unbeaten after six games.
Ricky Reed got the team off to the best of starts with a 3.0 win over John Kavanagh (16.82 avg), Ricky taking the first leg with only 15 darts and the highest checkout of the night with 116.
The next two legs were quickly secured and Ricky finished with an average of 22.77.
Steve Pugh was next to play, although he found the game tough going, with his usual scoring power not on show. He lost to Dane Vickers (23.76 avg ) 3.1 and ended with 21.46 avg.
Matt Edgar then took on experienced County player Ian McFarlane (25.33 avg) and Matt confidently took the game 3.0 with an average of 27.33.
Luke Kennedy (19.89 avg) lost his game 3.0 to Jimmy Collins who was Sutton Coldfield Man of the Match with a 26.77 average.
Rugby were begining to feel the pressure after Hemal Tailor also went down 3.0 to a very confident new player Mike McFall (25.91 avg), Hemal unlucky to miss some doubles which left him with an average of 21.67.
Rugby were now 3.2 down to Sutton Coldfield, which meant the next three players had to take victory to keep the team unbeaten.
Prakash Jiwa got the fightback off to the best start with 3.1 win over Matt Gallett (24.60 avg) Prakash finishing with Rugby Man of Match award with an average of 27.61.
Dave Atkins took his game and the overall match right to the wire, winning a fifth leg decider against Mark Birch (22.53 avg).
Dave’s finishing average of 21.87, is not the best of the season, but hitting the winning double was worth the wait.
Martin Bowley was the last man to play taking on Mark Wild (19.72 avg), Martin securing a 3.1 win with a 22.78 average and ensuring the team took the win to remain unbeaten in all six games this season.
