LMR Junior netball under 13s team won the Coventry League Handicap Tournament at the weekend.
On a very hot and glorious day, the team played six matches.
The opening match against Copeswood saw LMR storm away to a fantastic win, with Lauren Hall and Hattie Byrne shooting superbly together.
The next match against Leamington who are a very strong side was also a great win, with Annie Sheen playing exceptionally well as centre. Although the next game against Ambleside saw LMR lose, they fought every step of the way with Bernadette Pienaar and Georgia Stanley providing great defence.
Harbury A also provided a very strong team - a close game with Harbury just beating LMR.
The last two games of the tournament had to be won to stand a chance in the tournament, and some great play from Lucy Bostock, Lizzie Tarrant, Cerys Jones and Ella Ball meant LMR won both to win the tournament overall.
This was a real achievement for the club, and a credit to all the girls who played. They are pictured with their medals and trophies.
Also congratulations to Annie Sheen and Georgia Stanley who were chosen to play in the coveted super league match at the end of the day.
n The under 12 team also played some great netball, and although they did not win in their division they won two of their matches against some tough opposition.
Ailsa Maclean and Hannah Teasdale were also chosen from all the under 12s to play in the under 12 super league match.
