Paul and Ian win the Ken Clark Invitation Open
The start of Rugby Golf Club’s 125th Anniversary Festival Week was the Ken Clark Invitation Open on Sunday, June 5th. This competition, which was named after a Past Captain, President and Secretary of the Club, has been played in his memory since 2006.
45 pairs took part, one plus one visitor in each team, in fine weather. The course was in great condition and this generated some good scores with all the prize winners scoring 44 Stableford points to a Betterball format.
The winners, separated by count back, were Paul Brazier and Ian Brameld, followed by Andy Walsh and Wayne Knighton in 2nd place, Paul and Brian Coleman in 3rd place with Kevin McNally and Dean Baldock in 4th place.
