58 golfers turn out to remember Dave Wilson

The Dave Wilson Memorial Golf Society held their 18th annual golf day at Ansty Golf Centre.

This year 58 ‘golfers’ played in glorious weather and raised a fantastic £1,028 for the air ambulance in the process .

The golf day is to remember Dave Wilson, a past friend from Long Lawford, and to raise money for the air ambulance.

This year’s bandit, who won the competition, was Dean Chidlow playing off 18, with 42 points.

In second place on countback was Martin Green on 38 points and in third was Dane Read 38 points.

The day was a great success with thanks to all the people and businesses who contributed to hole prizes and raffle prizes.
