It has been a hectic few weeks at Hellidon Lakes golf club, starting with the club championship which this year was won by Tom Laver with rounds of 77 & 80 by 1 stroke from Craig Cotterill in second with rounds of 82 & 76 and in third a further stroke back was Ben French 77 & 82.

Division Two was won by Lloyd Rawlins with a total of 178 from Dan Harris 183 and in third Peter Bosworth 185.

The Hellidon Scut for division three players was a one horse race with Sam wade running away with it , amassing 45 points on his way to destroying the field. His nearest challenger was Tom Upfield with 34 points and in third Steve Trotman 33 points.

Lloyd Rawlins continued his fine form with a win in the Presidents Putter, he scored 36 points to win from Richard Barnes in second with 35 points and Paul Craig in third on 35 points.

Thanks must go to club president Malcolm Bodfish whose hospitality on the day was much appreciated by the members and hopefully raised a good sum for Malcolm’s charity.

The Handicap league team secured a vital 20-0 victory over Farthingstone GC on saturday and with two games to go and just one point needed they look odds on to progress in to the semi finals.
